But doesn't automatically get you to God. Plenty of good, virtuous people deny God even exists. There has to be an additional factor in drawing near to God. That factor is Jesus Christ. Study the Holy Bible my friend, and see if I am correct. You are free to reject the Scripture as valid, but don't reject it until you've given it due consideration.

Jesus must be your Spiritual Master. Lord Jesus is very great. However, we don't want to just be salvationists. That is we don't want to think I am saved due to the suffering and sacrifice of Lord Jesus and therefore I can do all kinds of nonsense.

We don't want to think that Lord Jesus has suffered and died for our sins and so we can now be merciless to innocent animals - killing them or hurting them needlessly when we don't really need to. We don't want to think that Lord Jesus is our Lord and Savior and so now it is alright to dump toxic waste while polluting the air, water and earth. We don't want to think that Lord Jesus has saved us and still finding fault in others unfairly discriminating against them on the basis of the caste, creed, political persuasion, race, color, etc.

Doing good, doing good karma is second to approaching God directly through His bonafide pure representative.
