Well it was the morning after a Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse

I was faced with an interesting moral dilemma on the train to work, this morning.

If seated next to a rambling crazy person, should I still give up my seat for the elderly, disabled or pregnant?

It would be kinda mean to subject them to "There's a cat on your head. You should take your hat off to see it."

Good question.

I think maybe you should give up the seat anyway, but hang around and make small talk so they aren't harassed by the crazy person next to them.

I didn't but I should have offered. I was hoping someone who wasn't near the crazy would give up their seat.

But really, I think the fact that if they need a seat, that would be more pressing than having to listen to verbal mish-mash. If the crazy person seems totes unstable, then I would stick about near by just in case or create some small talk with the person in need of the seat if they don't seem as if they'd mind it as much.

I'm not so good with small talk, but I probably should have offered. They could always refuse.
