I swear, the way you write Watson, the word usage, the voice, everything is absolutely perfect. And this one was...well, amazing doesn't quite cover it.
The bit when Watson first starts to realize that Holmes is actually gone, that was brilliant. This was my favorite:
"It was startling and disheartening to suddenly see the quarters with the rose coloured glasses removed, especially after such a long time thinking that the world itself was rose coloured."
As a Sherlock Holmes fan, a Watson fan, and a fan of your writing I have to say, you pwn all :D This was brilliant.
I'd been dying to write something with Watson going mad, I might have already told you this, I don't know. In any case, I'm finally glad I could get this out and that someone liked it when I did.
Even if I can see all the mistakes riddled in the lines that I'm currently too lazy to remove.
The mun seconds the above opinion, and adds that she is now headed over to Sherlock Peoria to do some digging around.
Bella would like to second (third?) said opinion, but instead stands around awkwardly for a moment before murmuring something that may or may not sound like a condolence before returning to her book.
OOC or not OOC, that is the question.amanoflettersApril 2 2008, 05:42:01 UTC
The mun thanks for the seconding of opinion and points out this link as an explanation. She also enthuses that the Chronology Corner is the most useful thing since pie. In the pie is very useful. For things.
"Regards to your father, Miss Moriarty." is Watson's wry response.
Quite Possibly OOC...Or Maybe Not.anothermoriartyApril 2 2008, 12:40:39 UTC
Ooh! A link! The mun clicks, and spends the next few hours moments reveling in the Canonical goodness. And then, of course, she goes to find pie. Most likely cherry. Or apple.
"Indeed," she replies sullenly. Which means, of course, that she has no wry response, but still feels the need to say...something.
