So fellow wingnuts won't feel alone in fandom

Boy, I'm sure making up for lack of LJ time, lately with all the spamming? I'll do tv comments tomorrow, time to inflict absolutely banal personal opinions which LJ labels as

[01] Do you have the guts to answer these questions and repost as The Controversial Survey? Erm...

[02] Would you do meth if it was legal? - No. (Is that the hot new thing?)

[03] Abortion: for or against it? - I can't resent government and tell it to stay the hell out of my wallet and freely invite it into my reproductive system, I'm an equal opportunity state control hater. Not only that, but I know making it illegal doesn't WORK. It didn't stop my grandma, a very religious mother of eight kids already, from getting quite a few painful and dangerous illegal ones in the great socialist republic. I am however against using it as a contraception method. If you're a feminist and want to take a stand for women's choice, you're probably going to do more good volunteering to mentor young girls (and boys for that matter; I don't agree with no uterus, no opinion, or at least not with no participation, why shouldn't men be AWARE of life they help conceive and all of the issues involved from an early age?) and teaching them not just about condoms but also about self-esteem and how you don't need to trade in sex for affection than about teaching them the "just a lump of cells" dogma. Same goes for churches of any stripe actually. Go with something like: "God created you in His likeness, which includes your body and you are Beautiful and his child and he loves you so try to respect it and yourself and no, a blowjob in junior high will not get you love." Or something. Shit, I don't know, you're supposed to be repositories of thousands of years of wisdom, not me.

[04] Do you think the world would fail with a female president? Ireland and New Zealand have a female head of state (and some others, but it's almost two am so...) I mean... we could do better, but I don't think we're a complete failure quite yet.

[05] Do you believe in the death penalty? I think it's too mild for the cases where I might agree to it. I have no guarantee that a child rapist will suffer any after his death, but I do know what happens to them in prison.

[06] Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already? No. I'm willing to listen to well argued theses on what legalizing all drugs might do to the market though.

[07] Are you for or against premarital sex? How can you be against someone else having pre-marital sex? If you choose to not do the deed, fine.

[08] Do you believe in God? I don't know.

[09] Do you think same-sex marriage should be legalized? Governments didn't regulate ANY type of marriage for thousands of years and people still hooked up. I'm not aware of a single LEGALLY valid argument against it. However, laws are drawn to represent the values of the group of people who agree to abide by them, so ultimately it should be a local matter. I think same-sex couples should have all the benefits any other couple has and not care if they legally call it a marriage or not. We don't stop having sex just because legally it's called "fornication" in some countries, do we?

[10] Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA? I don't blame them one bit, but there's probably a saturation limit and a point at which it will do more harm than it does good. For all parties involved.

[11] A twelve-year-old girl has a baby. Should she keep it? You mean raise or bring into this world? I think there are medical considerations first and then if the pregnancy can be safely carried to term, her grownup legal guardians need to make those decisions, not a child.

[12] Should the drinking age be lowered to 18? Yes.

[13] Should the war in Iraq be called off? No. The Iraquis have already won a big victory over there. Quick, somebody tell the media!

[14] Assisted suicide is illegal. I know quite a few individuals who would stoop oh so very low to get grandma's house, but anybody under a certain age should be able to take that decision by themselves. After a certain age limit, only with prior psych consultation and videotaped if possible.

[15] Do you believe in spanking your children? I was never spanked. I would spank my children if I thought it was needed.

[16] Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars? No. I don't want to keep that kind of company with the people who do that, but if I were to make a point, I'd do plenty other things for free.

[17] Who do you think would make a better president? McCain or Obama? To quote my President from his presidential debate with his opponent: "Man, it sucks that we're the best two options this country's got". Having said that, I wouldn't let Obama run a bait shop, let alone my country.

[18] Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers? Don't care.
