All right, who failed to tell me there was a fabulous Jeremy Renner reference in the first five minutes of Birdman? I'd have seen it long before this!
(The fact that it won a Best Picture Oscar which essentially means everyone thought it was a movie worth seeing--not an excuse. Get with it, people.)
(And yes, Birdman was terrific.)

(also...did I fail to tell you I met him? It was in a totally fannish context, so...yeah, but he was very sweet)

(Tell me this: any chance were you close enough to smell him? I have this voice that tells me I never want to meet any of my crushes because they might not smell nice and my fantasies will be crushed.)

So, he (and Evans, Ruffalo, and Downey) were on Good Morning America doing Age of Ultron press. The interview was outside the studio in Times Square on a low, round, purpose made Avengers stage. Some Marvel Unlimited Plus subscribers (superfans, baby! *g*) were invited by Marvel to ring the stage (invite means "don't have to get there at midnight the night before only to be pushed behind a fence) and I ended up maybe two feet from Renner, so I talked to him during the commercial break (about Kill the Messenger, because I don't know how to behave as a proper Marvel fan apparently *g*)
I also met Ruffalo (he held my hand and signed an Avengers poster for me) and RDJ winked at me. And we were given Marvel toys and IMAX passes. All in all, a successful outing for we who are fannish nerds. :)
(I have no idea if Renner smells good, but he's damned clean! *g*)

Clean is good! Clean is VERY good!
I think I have to go watch Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters after that story. It just seems proper.
