Is it uplifting or is it more war?

Oh, it's definitely uplifting! Without spoiling too much, there will always be the threat of war in first alien contact, with misunderstandings and suspicion and "let's strike first before they do" fearmongers. But this movie is definitely on the side of "how do we avoid that."

Excellent - I'm sick of TV shows about rape and torture and Sci fi that's just disguised horror. Sounds like this is one to watch.

Oh my goodness, I was SO SMITTEN. Which sounds odd since I'm already in love with the guy but I KNOW YOU GET WHAT I MEAN. :D
