lortabs make you itch because one of the two active ingredients is hydrocodone. a distant cousin of codeine/opium. Many opiates make people all itchy, especially the stronger ones like oxycodone, morphine, and heroin.

Thanks, I was kind of worried I was having an allergic reaction or something. Also, since you seem to know what you are talking about on this subject, aren't these things supposed to make me drowsy? They make me jittery and awake instead.

What dosage are you taking? Lortabs are decent for pain, but not on the stronger side when it comes to opiates, so it's unlikely that one or two pills (which are probably going to either have 5 or 7.5mg of hydrocodone) will make you very drowsy. I used to take them when I was doing fundraising for ASF over the phone. They would always make me feel warm and very sociable. The drowsiness would certainly come if you took more of them, but with the amount of acetaminophen (sp?) in each dose, that's not a good idea.
