Notes: Written for sg_fignewton's Jacob Alphabet Soup. Be sure to read all the fabulous contributions to the Soup! Special thanks to thraesja for the speedy and effective beta.
A really interesting moment to pick--I think a lot of us get swept up in Teal'c's revenge thing about Tanith and forget Hebron, and it makes sense that Jacob would remember and be troubled.
Thanks! I had a long list of H words/names that I considered using for my soup entry, but the Hebron idea kept elbowing its way to my attention, so I went with it. I'm so glad it worked.
I was rubbing my neck myself after one particularly stressful day at work and I said to myself, "Self," I said, "What we need is a symbiote to massage and commiserate with."
Or, y'know, something like that. ;)
I'm very happy you liked my contribution to your soup. Thank you for your lovely comment :)
Very insightful! The attitude of the Tok'ra toward using Hebron this was very callous, and I can see it angering Jacob greatly. A very interesting thing to explore, along with Selmak's reaction to his anger.
I was worried about trying to attempt "insightful" with so many absoultely fabulous authors participating in Fig's soups. Thanks so much for your comment - it eased some of my worry :)
Oh, I like this very much. I had wondered if the Tok'ra acted against Tanith knowing that there were condemning Hebron to a life of, well, torture. Nicely filled in for us. Love the anger from Jacob and the reasoning from Selmac.
Thanks so much! One of my favourite things to do in fanfiction is explaining things that were never addressed in the show, while at the same time not actually contradicting canon.
I'm with Jacob here; what they did to the host was unconscionable! I have to agree with lokei'; I'd totally forgotten about him by the time we next saw Tanith.

Also, I am oddly charmed at the mental image of Jacob caressing Selmac in the back of his neck, and Selmac responding. :)
