About a week ago, my cat chewed a couple of holes in the power cord for my iBook. Since then, I've been bumming Jay's periodically because I'm too poor to shell out $100+ for a new one. Tom feels certain he can fix the thing permanently, but he won't be in Wiggins for a while, and I won't be in Baton Rouge, either. So. Desperate times call for ( Read more... )

Sheetrock, oh yeah. You can do that. Some patching tape, a bucket of that mud stuff and one of those spatula looking doo-ma-flickies. Done deal.

No, no...Jay showed me how to do it the RIGHT way. The RIGHT way is with a bucket of that mud stuff, a piece of cardboard, a pokey thingamajiggy in the middle of it, and one of those spatula looking doomaflickies. Techno-sav. That's me.

I'm taking the easy way out and getting one of those old-fashioned motorless doomaflickies to mow my yard with. :-) I just have to promise Jay I'll wear shoes and not chop my toes off.
