Dear Carrie L. Hoffman,

We are sincerely sorry for any hardship you have suffered as a consequence of Hurricane Katrina.

MCI customers living in the immediate areas affected by Hurricane Katrina will not receive a September bill for phone service. No action is required on your part to claim your full credit―it has already been applied to your account.

Hurricane Katrina has caused immeasurable suffering, deprivation, and loss. We know these trying circumstances will improve only gradually, over far more than a single month. We value our customers and we want you to know we are committed to helping you throughout this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Todd Goldthwaite,
Vice President, MCI Customer Service
