amount of time taken to get home last night from work in our lovely Chicago weather: 3 hours and 16 minutes.

I live less than 30 miles from work. :|

hey, remember that in the south if it's cold outside AND it happens to rain, people automatically freak out and assume everything is frozen solid and we're all gonna die. and the freakouts are the far more common cause of traffic deaths in the winter in the south. :)

it rained and the temp was like 32 exactly the other night. there was a very very very minimal amount of sleet, most of which was only stuck to trees and steps, not roads, but they closed some schools and offices, etc. lame.

Holy bejeezus. It took my manager 3 hours to get home. She left at 4 and took 88 to Bellwood. Did you take 355 to 88?

I took 290 to 355 (Army Trail) and picked Paul up. Then, we took 53 south to Roosevelt because I thought it MIGHT be less bad than 355. Nope. I picked Paul up at about 6:15 and we got to Roosevelt at maybe 7:30.. AND HE WORKS BETWEEN ARMY TRAIL AND NORTH AVENUE!!! Then we got on 355 and took 88 home. I got home at 8:45. :|

I heard someone at work saying they had to drive to Frankfort (I have no idea where that is) and said it took her 7 hours. Honestly, I think she might be exaggerating a bit.

Anyway, while I'm thinking about it..can you come over sometime this week? We're leaving on the 16th and I want to give you the keys and show you where everything is. Anyway, I don't think we have any plans for any night, so just come over after work and we can have dinner. Let me know what day is good for you.

Frankfort is a far south suburb... directly east of Joliet. 7 hours does sound like an exaggeration, but given the weather, anything is possible!

Either Monday or Thursday will work for me. Let me know which you'd prefer. :)

Let's do Thursday. Why don't you come over around 7:30?
