The ones I hear most about are Yarn Harlot and Stitch'n'Bitch.

Knittinghelp.com is awesome. Diana pointed me to knitty.com that also has some good ideas. I like www.lionbrand.com too for patterns.

I only started knitting this year. Snooc gave me a pattern for a fabulous scarf, but, I drove myself bonkers making it. Short rows are not good for perfecting your knitting. Just as you get into a groove, it's time to turn again.

I have the beginning knitting group on my LJ. I made Liz a cute head kerchief the other day. Right now, I'm working on a baby blanket for my new nephew. I prefer the longer rows I think, but, it took a little to learn how to use the circular needles.

Kerri, Diana and Snooc all knit too.

I knit, taught by an older woman here at the newspaper... So far I can only knit, I can't purl yet, and the only thing I can make are scarves... The fun-fur ones make great Christmas gifts... :)

I want to make bags and sweaters like Diana... :)

i hooked up with this amazing chick who can make sweaters and bags and all manner of things. she taught me how to knit and purl on my first night... maybe that is why it's driving me so nuts, because i am knitting one row and purling one row. maddening!
