oh yeah, baby. day off. i'm sitting at panera, hanging with my roommate, IMing people like crazy, and wearing a perma-grin. in my bag is a copy of reading lolita in tehran. in my trunk is a blanket. when i'm done here i will be sitting in the park and reading.

I'm not gonig to Dallas this weekend. It's way too crazy here.

nashville is number one on kiplingers list of smart places to live.

number eight on the list is ithaca, where i desperately want to move. i spent lots of time there in my teens and twenties, and it has exaclty the vibe i want in a city. plus, it has nostalgic value. and it's situated on my favorite finger lake, cayuga.
