Don't feel bad. It happens. I wore braces for about a year and a half, from just after I turned 1 until shortly before I turned 3. I should have had them longer, but they told my mom I'd be fine. I have really weak ankles, but that's because I never went BACK to wearing anything... well, unless you count the doctor telling my mom to have me wear high tops for gym glass (bwah?).

Bottom line- you'll get it worked out, and so will he.

Thats funny, they told us that B needed high top shoes too and when he picks his shoes out, he always picks his Orange Crocs or his Blue Boots as he calls them...

I know we will get it worked out. thats how it works right :) Problem leads to a solution.

Thanks for posting.

You would think that not having braces would help the ankles become stronger through use...

Bill wears ankle braces when he plays ultimate frisbee and he says he needs braces when he swims in the water, I guess his ankle gets out of whack if he doesn't wear a brace. his is from an injury and it never healed totally.
