Very enjoyable story :) The best points for me are how IC they were and how you captured the tone of the show (the humour and the 4th wall breaking :D).

To me many writers and doujinka have problems with writing Gintoki paired up with either Kagura and Shinpachi in a way that is believable and also not creepy.

You managed to establish a dynamic very true to the Gintoki/Kagura relationship in the original and that could be the basis of a healthy relationship in the future (and one that would not ruin the Yorozuya). Of course I'm not saying that a fic where their hook-up is a disaster wouldn't be interesting in some ways, but that was definitely not your intention xD

Thank you so much! Basically, whenever I write this pairing, I try to establish that Kagura holds pretty much all the cards, because otherwise it could be, as you say, creepy as hell. Never mind the fact that Gintoki instigating anything would strike me as incredibly OOC, given how, in canon, he seems to be interested more in the idea of sex than in the act itself.

But I also love the side of him that's a bit out-of-control when it comes to people he cares about, like the way he acts when he finds Otose and Jirocho in that graveyard. I tried to let a little bit of that side come out in this fic, and hopefully I succeeded. XD

Ha, ha, true, Gintoki probably never instigated ANYTHING in his life. He is passive like that indeed.

I also found that your justification of him not being too keen on sex in practice because of previous bad experiences really thoughtful.

I've also read xparrot's fics which are another interesting take on the matter. In them he has a problem with loving someone in a romantic and not just frienshippy way. And apart from a theoretical interest in porn doesn't have much of a sex drive at all (like you said, that's very much canon
