I took vote for this happening in canon. Because not only is their a happy ending for Gert and Chase. NO ONE ELSE IS DEAD!

Well, if the X-Men and the Avengers can come back from the dead, I don't see why Gert can't. People need to quit dying gratuitously in comics, full stop.
