You don't NEED to get certified to be a nanny, but it would be a very good idea because it will help your chances of getting hired and plus you'll know what to do during an emergency if ever there was one.
I am CPR and Red Cross certified but I don't have to be. My employer never asked if I was and I was hired.
It's not full time, she already has a full-time nanny. I am just the stand in-- in case the other nanny is sick or has other obligations. But last year I cared for the children full-time. From 3 pm to 2 am almost every day.
It was the best job ever in the whole world. Caring for children is so rewarding. Probably heavenly rewarding as well.
Hey...I think wedding planner is a good idea if you get yourself established...girl, you make work what you want it to be. Keep your head high and aim for the stars.
