I have US visa, type H1B stamped on my passport now. It was quite a simple interview after standing for hours in queue to get to the counter. I went in my casual jeans + half sleeves shirt, with regular Reebok sport shoe to interview. With a light beard and long hair, I was certain they wont give me visa if they go by the looks :p And one more

Perfect. Best part is people wear full formals with tie and they also wear company id card and all :P. I did wear formal (because if visa got rejecteed - it had already happened once when I applied from Lonndon - then everyone would've blamed my dress) but still had rolled up my sleeves and tried to avoid being one among that extremely formal crowd.
Best part is the way people beg and thank. One guy was telling thank you in the girly tone, "thaaaaank yyyyuuouuu sir, thaaank youuu sooo much". Other guy had tears, visa rejected. One more girl trying desperately convince, all for going to US? crazy!! When first time when they rejected my visa all I said was thanks and then went around catching a squirrel with this girl

Surprisingly - I absolutely had no waiting anywhere.. Everything went quite swiftly & I was out by the time when my interview was actually scheduled for..

lucky you.. actually even I was just 1hr delayed. But it felt so long time as I was not feeling well.. had fever and all.
