Looking for some help from costumer people

I'm really looking at Manda o.O

I'm wondering if you can help me figure out how to make this corset/ top.  I'm pretty sure its the bra, the corset, then the underbust corset.  But the corset and underbust corset/cincher can probably be made together.

Ambitious, I know!  The "skirt" part would not be so hard.

How would YOU go about making the top?

personally, if i were going to go through the effort, i'd go ahead and make all three pieces, or two if you plan to just find a cute bra. that way you can also wear them separately if you like.

as for how to go about it, i have no idea. i'm definitely an "oh shit i will need a pattern for this" kind of seamstress.

I pretty much already nixed the idea of the whole costume. That's WAY more ambitious than I'm capable of. :-P

I'm working on making my own pads today. I have some really cute flannel with fish on it. >^..^

we had the best conversation at dotm one year about natural alternatives. i hate pads, but i did buy a divacup, which was great until it got annoying and i went back to buying tampons.

have you thought any more about homesteading since we last talked about it? you are so on my list of "people who might want to live collectively."

yes I have thought lots more about homesteading. I'm considering looking for some land in Missouri. I don't have any money for it, but hey.. who needs money, right?! LOL

I'm looking for teaching jobs in the Kansas City, MO area. Met a lot of people at PSG who live up there that are pretty awesome. And it looks to have a little bit better of a summer climate. Not as humid as Memphis. But who knows what will happen!

Also, they have natural sea sponges as alternative tampons but those are kinda freaky to me. I have no idea if they're comfortable or not. Just..sponges... hmm
