Hitherto - my Heather fansite. I recently was approved with her fanlisting, and the movie adaption of her is coming out this year supposedly, so I do plan to update this site somewhat. Any significant changes I need to make?
No, really, it makes me already incredibly happy to know there ARE Silent Hill character shrines out there but, on top of that, you also did a great job in it ;u;
I guess for suggestions on what to do for its expansion onto fanlisting + movie adaption, if you're thinking on rebuilding its layout, I'd suggest a less compact look. Aside from that, your writting and overall design are beautiful and I'll be looking forward for the updates that are to come ~
It has truly beautiful design! I'm amazed at how it's so simple but yet so elaborate in its layout and content; and how your writting makes it straightforward and easy to understand, even for a reader who, like me, doesn't know the first thing about Soul Calibur. It's a beautiful shrine for being your first!
I especially love the speculation on the lack of information regarding SC4-5! It relies less on spitting out game information and more questions that can make even the reader think. May I suggest that for the questions you have, that you expand on your theories for a possibility on what happened between her and Kilik? For example, why do you say that she's a slut when she has a child out of wedlock? Do you believe she went for the first guy she saw, or do you think that's not in Xianghua's character to do so.
Personally, I like to think that whenever a new character appears in a fighting game, there is some financial scheme from the makers. For example, I think the only reason Pyrrah was debuted (when we already have two other Alexanders) to be the cute "moe" character. Do you think they just wanted someone fresh and felt Xianghau wouldn't be attractive enough for new gamers?
It's a very minute case, but may I suggest rearranging the menu a bit? For example, the "game" section which acts like an introduction should be within the first column, and the "Mother" and "Father" analysis could be closer as well.
I think you did an excellent job analyzing every detail about Cheryl's life including her toy collection that most people tend to ignore while playing the game. It's hard to suggest further research on a game that tests you directly instead of just the character, but perhaps you can dwell a bit on implications of incest in the game? Freudian ideology for example, could suggest that Cheryl suffers from an Electra Complex where she hates her mother because she loves her father.
I really like the detail in this shrine. It's all very organized, well presented and easy to follow. You've covered the different aspect of Cheryl very well.
