Ritual

The ritual went so smoothly last nite.....

If I told you that I'd be lying to you. I could not have gotten into any more mishaps in that ritual. For some reason, I do not have problems doing rituals to other gods. (other Teteo mind you.) Sure, I make the occasional mistake, but I've had my fair share of mishaps in Tezcatlipoca rituals. ( Read more... )

Give him your own blood for the ritual? O_o;
Isn't that somewhat painful or scary?

That's a bit crazy that you went through all of that. xD

I've been doing it for about a year now. (Auto sacrifice/bloodletting to the gods.) It can be scary, honestly, when you first try it. But in actuality it's quite easy and not as painful as you would think.

What part of your body do you release your blood?

Most of the time, my ankles because I don't want the attention of people.

I do my wrists sometimes too.

The Aztec did it on their legs, ears, tongues, and if you were male, at time, on your penis.

You know, I don't know everything about these gods, but I have SOME experience with Tez. I don't really see any other way to interpret this besides "go away." If you can't manage to properly burn things but the smoke detectors go off, and stuff starts removing itself from your sacred space, I just don't really see any course of action that would be appropriate besides quit, and wait for further instructions.

I did stop after the detectors. But I didn't get the hostile "go away" feeling you normally recieve when they don't want you to do something, I also didn't recieve any instruction.

Tezcatlipoca doesn't seemed at all bothered or pissed off about it either. (When He's pissed, I usually know.) What's weird is I did a ritual to Tlaloc the next evening and nothing bizarre occured. Then my room had a different feeling than before. It was strange.

I think, and highly suspect you're going to disagree, but here it is anyway- that there is no way to interpret these events that doesn't come back to Tez wanting nothing to do with your worship right now. Gods don't always speak in vibes. Actions work too. Those are some loud actions. In my experience these things don't just happen. I mean a ritual can fail, things that are hard to explain can happen during them or whatever, but this has gone beyond that point. The fact that you have not recieved further instructions kind of makes me think that I am right, here. If you were doing something wrong that could be corrected, a god will usually tell you. They, in my experience, forgive novicehood. Sooo. . . if He's not sending off any vibes or instructing you, I'd back off for a while. I don't know if this is a permanent state of affairs or not but for now, I'd really leave Him alone.

Since that post i did receive feedback. I theorized that there were two possibilities to the mishaps 1. Tezcatlipoca is doing something 2. The spirits in my life that hate the Teteo, botched the ritual. Although this is a rarity, I have seen some of them express the desire to botch rituals.

But of course, I went with numero uno.

See, I didn't do that ritual only to honor Tez, I did it also to petition. I got so caught up in preventing more things from happening that I missed out on asking. Of course you are prolly right. But I also think He's working on me a lot.

The feedback i saw of Tezcatlipoca, wasn't directly aimed at me. Rather it was as if He was contemplating it. None of it was negative emotion, which is perplexing. It was a warm reflection.

Yes, usually novice hood is generally forgiven. Especially in pronunciation of names! That hasn't happened to me yet, but I know it's happened to someone!

We're having a Tezcatlipoca discussion on aztecmythology, and I was browsing journals of people interested in that deity...that's how I found this.

I'm giving into the temptation to comment while acknowledging that you may have closed the book on this issue and drawn all the conclusions you need to draw since it's a couple of months old.

But I find myself thinking that maybe your ritual, and not you yourself, was being mocked by the Mocker. It seems like all the mayhem was directed at the paraphernalia of your ritual...not at you directly or your desire to make contact.

If you feel a "warm reflection" and that Tezcatlipoca is "working" on you I could see these events as trying to tell you that the paraphernalia is un-necessary...that you already have a more direct rapport...you already have his attention.

But I'll leave it at that since I don't know if you're inclined to talk to strangers!

Also like your Satanism rants.

mister_crocuta:

There is more in this journal about the Teteo and Tezcatlipoca if you want to read it. I don't mind adding you! I like meeting new people, especially those interested in the Aztec religion and mythos.

Sounds good. I haven't been on this thing that long. I guess you'll be my first official friend.
