On the surface, Kidd likes to pick on Mitsuba, but deep down he holds her in a considerable amount of respect--partly because she is tough, but partly because he knows his buddy is smitten with her. However, her toughness makes him insecure, so in efforts to reassert his manhood, he takes to teasing her because she's easy to rile up.
Plus, Kidd seems to like ticking off really tough and violent girls.
Kidd's not sure what to think of Roget yet, since most of the time he talks to the adults. In his notes, he says that Roget's accent is mysterious, and that he is possibly from far, far away. Either that or he fakes it for the ladies men masses. (XD Oh, Kidd).
He seems to be a kid at heart though, and when he expressed an interest playing with the kids in the snow, Kidd definitely took notice. He's definitely no bad egg in Kidd's book, but castle gossip about the racier aspects of Roget's life subconsciously drive Kidd to keep a certain distance from Roget.
Shoon's enthusiasm made Kidd a little hesitant at first--he thought Shoon might even be making fun of him because here's a strong gladiator, and Kidd's a wimpy little detective. However, having Shoon around shows Kidd that muscle or not, anyone can be sincere and genuine! Kidd feels a secret need to protect Shoon in an ironic way, especially since Shoon can't read--Kidd hopes he can help Shoon learn the more scholarly ways of life, since Shoon has muscly-ways down to a tee. XD
Maxine's an Ice Queen! But if anyone can pull of the regal attitude that goes along with title of queen, Maxine can. Kidd definitely respects her for her magical skills, and only places her just one notch below Little Viki in that train of thought. He takes caution not to mouth off at her too much, since he knows he would be in trouble if he did!
Kidd still wonders which way Jeremy swings, and in his notes he has written that Jeremy totally has the hots for Hervey still, but all those speculations are mostly driven by a puberty stricken little boy. He can't really understand why Jeremy and Mitsuba were partners in crime business, since neither of them really do any sort of business around Budehuc. He doesn't think Jeremy is cut out for that sort of thing, and wonders if in the past he just counted potch instead. XD
