((OOC: Kidd's Letter to his Mum, part XI))

Feb 15, 2008 11:20

Dear Mum,

It's been a while since I've heard from you, so I'm going to assume you're probably busy filling in the... uh.... job order I sent your way. I feel kind of jealous though--I mean, you made my hat just for me! So seeing Oboro wearing it will be really weird But not as weird as seeing his mouse wear the tiny one! Maybe I need to grow up and stop letting stupid things get to me. Still, I can't help but wonder if he has mysterious ulterior motives, like trying to disguise himself as me!!

It was Valentine's Day here yesterday. I made a big idiot of myself. Maybe Sherlock has the right idea, keeping away from girls. I publicly asked Nanami to be my valentine... augh. It was so stupid, I should have thought it through like it was a mystery or something instead of jumping in like that. Granted a lot of people patted me on the back and said it was awesome and manly... but it didn't matter when she didn't give me a straight answer and instead got all flustered thinking Camus was going to ask her first. Because really--I don't care what everyone else says. *a cluster of ink dots, as if he started getting ready to write something, then pulled back* Why is this so difficult?! It's like the hardest mystery I've ever had to solve!! But maybe the culprit is me, and I'm guilty for meddling where I shouldn't be... after all, technically Nanami and I never would have met. I can't help but think about some of the things Little Viki said, about how we were messing up history... maybe Nanami and Camus were supposed to be together, and I'm guilty for messing that up? It makes me feel like a huge meddling jerk. At least Mitsuba and Eugene are... well, at least if they're from the same time, I guess...?

I've also got my hands full with a new case--maybe I should just launch into that to distract me from other things. Did I tell you that there was this detective here named Richmond? He feels really familiar... anyhow, he has this cat, and I'm trailing it to find out where this mysterious letter came from. I know for a fact cats can't write, so that must mean someone else wrote it for him!!

Try to stay warm--I know Duck Village can get chilly in the winter.
