[Blink. Looking around behind him and then back to the screen. Speaking quietly so as not to look like a crazyperson.]

If this were a mirror you would not be speaking to me from it.

Well, to be fair, it's more like....it's more like...

Well....it's not really a mirror but that's a good way to understand it.

You know, Mirror, I don't quite believe in magic, but I might be induced to after all this.

In what ways is this thing like, and unlike a mirror?

[Absent-mindedly producing a package of cigarettes which are, of course, sodden. Huff of frustration.]

Do you need a towel?

Offered by such a sweet voice, how could I refuse?

And here I thought being completely soaked was motivation enough.

The weather is not so poor, and I must confess the excitement is keeping me quite warm. But I would count my situation much improved if a young lady as beautiful as her voice were to do me the gracious favour of a towel.

So, have you had this place explained to you yet?

That is the second time someone has asked me that so far. Does this sort of thing happen quite often? Because I can tell you, it has never happened to me before.

"It is rather astonishing, isn’t it? You will find a great many such things in your stay here, I can assure you sir." She had been walking, a fondness for the pastime she could not shake even here. Upon seeing the man’s distress, Elizabeth diverted from her current trail and approached, looking amused.

[ooc: hope it’s okay! if not i can change it to voice~]

"In that case, miss, I shall have to make my stay a long one."

Raffles would much rather turn away from the tiny screen of his network device to speak to a real live person. He'd taken off his jacket in order to encourage his shirt to dry but was otherwise still quite damp. He did make an effort to smooth back his hair, though, as the young lady approached. Pretty, in an understated way.

[ooc: It's fine, though we might have to cut something over with Oz, I'll see how it goes.]

"Elizabeth," she offered, turning her gaze away from him politely as he was not properly attired. That did not mean of course, that she hadn’t caught a glimpse of anything, and looked a sight more bemused for it. "May I assist you, sir? You are a long way from home I daresay, and it may be difficult without any acquaintances."

"Elizabeth, A. J. Raffles at your service. It certainly appears as though I am a longer way from home than I had been before and indeed it appears as though I left my companions behind. Your offer of companionship is very kind."

As far as Raffles is concerned, Elizabeth is the first woman he's seen properly dressed thus far during the short time he's spent sitting on a bench near the fountain exploring his network device. He stands to greet her properly, even if the clothing situation is a bit awkward. He doesn't mind being laughed at in an absurd situation.

"I've been speaking to a good Samaritan on this device who has offered to procure clothing on my behalf and so I am awaiting his arrival."
