Drabble 01 - Fic: Goodbye
Title: Goodbye

Summary: Ian says goodbye to the only man he will ever love

Ian wanted to tell Harley how much he loved him but the words simply would not come out. Laying there watching him sleep, Ian knew he would have to leave him soon. Harley deserved so much more and Ian knew if he stayed much longer that he would destroy that light that shined so bright in Harley's eyes.
Not able to help himself, Ian raised his hand to gently trace around Harley's face. They had only been together a short time. A very brief few months, but already Ian knew he would be leaving his heart behind and that there would be no one else for him.
Slowly withdrawing his hand from where it had been tracing Harley's features, Ian started to creep from the bed. It would be best for him to be gone before Harley woke. Unable to take his eyes from the one on the bed, Ian stood and gathered his clothes, dressed cautiously trying not to make any sound.
Easing the door open and slipping out, he took a moment to rest his forehead against the door as tears escaped his eyes and his heart splintered and broke.
Taking a deep breath, Ian straightened up and turned and walked down the hallway away from everything he held dear.
