you may also want to try using a flash, setting the shutter to stay for the length of the exposure and not the flash (say, around 1/8 or 1/4), and taking a picture. if everything's set up right, you'll get a nice sharp image of somebody with all the blurs of them moving around the sharp image.

Yes indeed, the focusing capability is amazing in comparison to my previous camera.
