"Allie?" he called out, stepping from the fireplace with his eyes already searching the room for some sign of-

-stopping suddenly so that he didn't actually step onto her, Parker looked down at the beauty that was stretched out along the wood floor and tilted his head to look at her.

His eyes narrowed and determinedly remained focused on her face. "What are you doing?"

Grey-blue eyes flickered up to meet those of the visitors. She weakly smiled.

"Thinking." A sigh, "I do it a lot." Surprisingly...

Allie stretched her arms high over her head before rolling over. From there she lazily sat up, pulling her bare knees to her chest.

"Hello to you too."

It was almost disconcerting to think that he hadn't broken it off with the girl yet, but no matter how many times he'd prepared for it, the words had never formed fully enough to get the point across.

But still, that could wait for a better time.

The corner of his mouth twitched upward, and he lowered himself to squat beside her, a hand reaching out to brush a lock of her hair back. "Hope you don't mind me stopping by unannounced. Didn't expect to come."

Allie had to admit, she was a bit disappointed he'd derailed her from her train of thought. Then again, the boy sure did know how to make it feel just a little better.

Although it was hardly visible with the lack of light, it was obvious Allie had blushed by the coy was she glanced down at her toes before looking back to meet his gaze.

"Mmmno," She shrugged, biting her bottom lip, "You're welcome to visit. S'not like I share this place with anyone."

Her eyes quickly darted around the room.
