All these posts about friendship have made me think long and hard about what I want in a friend. First and foremost, I consider my LJ friends just as important as I think of my IRL friends... I want a friend that is there for me through good and bad, who says congrats when I have a baby, who sends hugs when I am having a bad day. I could care less ( Read more... )

AMEN to that, my sister. I could not agree more.

I have done my best to show I love and care. If I see no results after this, then it is obvious those friends I thought were friends are truly not.

Time will tell...

As for me, you know I will ALWAYS be there for you. I have gotten into the habit of calling you, practically, every day now. Lol.

I love you so much that I have to have you in my life. I will always do my best to show you how important you are to me; and our friendship.

There are NO EXCUSES not to be a true friend.

I completely agree with you. I'm new to your friends list, so I dont know how your LJ friends are... but I have had my fair share who rarely ever comment.. and when they do it's some totally bullshit, no-thought, response. I don't HAVE livejournal friends so that I can feel popular.. I have them because I am truly interested in their lives, and I truly care about them.. and I expect them to feel the same way about me. And well, the fact of the matter is that the only way you can really "show your love" on livejournal is by commenting. So, I don't feel all that bad when I cut the people who simply choose not to make time for me.
