History: LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SPIDER-MAN IS ABOUT. Here's a
link.
Personality: Peter goddamn Parker is a badass and you can't say he's not. He is seventeen years old and he's Spider-Man. Nothing beats that. Everyone else pack up and go home. He does, however, have rather an obvious case of being a nerd. As Peter Parker, he is shy, uncertain of himself, and nervous of the people around him. He is a good person, intelligent, caring, and yet he still has a bravery to him that is innate, evident when he stands up to Flash Thompson when he is picking on another student, however much he knows the other boy could hurt him, and in fact does so. Peter loves technology and science, fascinated by machinery and gadgets, and often called upon by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May to repair things around the home that break. He is, in all essence, the every day teenager. He has his hobbies, photography in particular, and he enjoys skateboarding, but he is still rather much a loner, tending to keep to himself. He can still throw adolescent tantrums, forget about things he has to do because of his own interests, and get largely distracted by things that entertain him, but he is a good natured, kind person that just wants to do right.
Deep down, however, Peter has many personal issues concerning who he is. Barely recalling his parents, Richard and Mary Parker, Peter relies on his Uncle Ben and Aunt May to fill their roles. Even so, he still greatly wonders about the night he was left with his Aunt and Uncle, and even after the events of the movie he is left with a great many questions. Hurt by being left behind and not being given thorough reasons as to why, Peter is angry at his father, more so than the mother he recalls not wanting to leave him behind, though he considers his Uncle more of a father to him. Even so, he is a boy of many uncertainties because of his family situation, and he wants nothing more than to understand why he was left behind.
As Spider-Man, Peter finds a confidence and playfulness he can't bring himself to show to many people unmasked. The mask "makes him strong". It gives him a cover to let him be the loud, obnoxious, childishly fun superhero he is deep down. He has quick wit and sharp one-liners, as well as a confident nature that lets him act silly and not care, because his identity is hidden and he does not have to be concerned by his pride getting wounded or being embarrassed by the silly things he does. He is full of pop-culture references, snide remarks, ridiculousness and sheer fun.
That fun, however, is a mask in itself. Underneath it all, Peter is a frightened boy carrying a lot of pain and guilt. He blames himself for the death of both Captain George Stacy and his Uncle, and becomes vengeful and very nearly driven mad on his own vendetta against the man who murdered his Uncle. He hunts down men all with similar appearances, getting involved in police matters and dealing with criminals harshly until the fateful night that reality hits him. Forced to rescue civilians on a bridge, Spider-Man saves a boy from a burning car, even going so far as to unmask himself to put the child at ease, bringing the arrogant hero down to Earth once more, making him realise that there are more important things happening in the world than hunting the man who killed his Uncle, spurring him to fight for justice, rather than vengeance, making him do good things for the sake of doing good, not for revenge.
Beyond that, Peter is just a regular boy with irregular abilities. He has a crush on Gwen Stacy and finds himself in a relationship with her easily enough, though he is still selfish enough to break promises he makes for things he wants, showing the childish side of him is ever present. Even so, he loves hard, he hurts hard, and he cares even harder than that. He wants to do good, he wants to be the hero his Uncle wanted him to be.

Powers/Abilities: After being bitten by a genetically enhanced spider, Peter Parker acquired several abilities, particularly superhuman strength, microscopic hairs upon his flesh that make his hands sticky, allowing him to climb walls and ceilings, and spider-sense, a sixth sense that warns him of danger and causes him to physically respond to that, manifesting itself as a ringing in his head. Peter also built "web-slingers", small devices that attach to the insides of his wrists. They contain small, refillable capsules that have hundreds of feet of a specially formulated webbing that Peter himself developed. Additionally, the spider-bite repaired his poor vision and heightened Peter's metabolism, making his physical needs more intense. This includes his hunger, his need for rest, and his libido.
Before even being bitten, Peter has a naturally high IQ and can sew a mean balaclava. No, seriously, this kid's sewing skills are crazy. He makes his own Spider-Man suit.
SAMPLES;
First Person Sample:
[The feed comes on to a young man, only in his late teens at most. He has wounds, bruises, cuts, scrapes, and an unseen bullet wound in his right leg. Although he has no idea how he wound up here, Peter at least knows the last place he was. Home, having just given his Aunt the eggs he had forgotten to get beforehand. He had hugged her, told her he'd had a rough night, and well, now he was here.
It felt weird all but stumbling into this world, and being told he was going to fight a war, well, maybe someone suddenly knew about Spider-Man. Not that he'd announce that publicly. That would be best left for later on. Spidey'd had enough action for one night.
The background behind him would look familiar to a small selection of people. He has found his way into the chapel in The Sanctuary. Slumped against a wall, he rubs his eye tiredly with a balled up fist.]
Uh... [He winces faintly.] Can anyone explain what's going on? One minute I'm at home, in New York, the next I'm on some weird alien planet and there's a friendly "You're here to fight a war!" news bulletin.
[A sigh comes and Peter runs a hand through the mess of brown hair, resting his hand on the back of his neck.] I don't think I enlisted anywhere. I'm just a guy, I can't really help.
[Hissing at his pain, Peter rests his head back against the wall behind him.] So... uh, yeah, answers would be pretty cool. [Another shift and a wince, before he turns off the phone.]
Third Person Sample: As soon as the phone was off, Peter let out a shaking breath. He was healing, but a lot had been done so the wounds were taking their toll, as well as the sheer exhaustion from fighting. Doctor Connors was dealt with, and yet Captain Stacy had been killed, because of him. Going home to Aunt May had felt like a small blessing amongst the hell and destruction, but he'd even had that taken away. Peter's hand came to cover his eyes as he felt tears streak his bloodied, bruised, and dirty face. It was ridiculous, all this mess, all this loss and pain, and now he was stranded away from home, told he couldn't go back until a war was won, and he had only just got done with his own war.
Sniffling a bit, he rubbed away the tears, wincing at the pain it caused. The bruising on his throat from the Lizard's tail made swallowing painful, everything felt painful in fact, and he just really wanted to sleep, but the webbing he'd put over his wounded thigh was stripped away when he took off the Spider-Man suit and he was leaving a small pool of blood dripping through his pants.
Pressing his hand to it, a yelp of pain came and Peter reached his hand into his backpack. He'd come with the eggs, still in his hand, but he'd put them back into his bag to keep them safe. Reaching around in the bag, he found a bandage he'd stuffed in there, just in case of emergencies like this. He wasn't sure about stripping his pants off in a chapel, however, and opted for wrapping his bandage around his leg over his pants, at least until he could get to a hospital. He didn't know what he'd tell them, but he could make something up.
A deep breath in and Peter rummaged in his bag again, pushing aside the slightly worse for wear Spider-Man costume and grabbing a snack bar, needing food so badly he felt like he was starving. At least there was no ringing in his ears. That was the last thing he needed tonight.
