Okay, for posterity, or maybe a little prosperity, here's my list of Bowie songs that don't suck. I've weeded through quite a few, and after a while they start to sound pretty similar. I have to say I thought of you the first time I heard Boys Keep Swingin. I'm not sure why, other than I thought it was funny and you would enjoy it. I like Scary Monsters, too... well, sort of. The chorus part, where he goes, "Know what I mean," mainly. Eee! ^_^
Have you heard Oh, You Pretty Things yet? I like what I've heard, but as I've mentioned, my home connection is lousy, and I've not managed to download the entire song so far. I have it on good authority that it's a spiffy song, though. And is it just me, or is China Girl really, really annoying?
Do you not like Let's Dance, then? I like it decently... the imagery in "Put on your red shoes and dance the blues." ^_^ I'm a nerd!

But you are right, China Girl will never make the list. It makes me do the Frustrated Squirm of Annoyance. I don't like 'Let's Dance', mainly because its little quirky beats poke at me, and I wince when he says, 'If you should come into my arms trembling like a.... flower!' I think, 'Yeah, cause that would happen bucko.
There are a few other songs of his that I appreciate the lyrics to, like Thursday's Child and Survive, but as far as listening to them goes I'd rather hear the ones that have both innovative music and lyrics.
I do have a really good internet connection, a CD burner, and blank CDs. If you want a little Bowie somethin somethin to take home with you, with any songs you don't have that we can download, I can hook you up.

I've got the Bowie Singles collection (burned by Dad), so not much of a problem there. It's got some good stuff, anyway.
