Oh, today was a long one. My grandmother has been fighting alzhiemers for years but has recently gotten much worse. After fighting with her for almost a year, my dad and his sister finally convinced her to move to an assisted living facility. Today we went down to try and sort through her things. When we got there she had completely forgotten

I know what you're going through. My grandmother doesn't remember meeting my husband, doesn't remember I'm married, doesn't remember I'm older than 15 or so -- when she remembers me at all. Since my family here is so far away and doesn't see her often, she...just...forgets us. My dad is finding it harder and harder to call her because she doesn't understand who he is. It's hard, and it hurts.
