I think what you should do is put an insanely high year for the date of this post (2017, for example). That way, it'll stay at the top of your posts. :)

Actually, I orginally did that but unfortunately, not everyone sees backdated entries on their f-list.

thanks. It wasn't an easy decision to make, or an easy thing to go through with. At the moment still having trouble seeing big picture but it's only been a week. I'll be keeping everyone updated, it's nice to have friends rooting for you...
