Sugar is still sugar and organic doesn't mean good all the time.

Just because it says organic on it doesn't make it good for you by default.  I've had this conversation way too many times with people lately (mostly mothers) and it gets frustrating.  Organic sugar is still sugar and large quantities of it are still bad for you.

There is this girl I've gone rounds with on stuff. She insists Organic is ABSOLUTELY THE ONLY HEALTHY WAY TO GO. Okay you know what? Fine - organic is good. I understand the appeal and if I was less poor I'd work my best to go that route (farmers market ftw!) however, this does not mean having a CHEESBURGER WITH ORGANIC BEEF AND CHEESE IS HEALTHY. *headdesk*

I'm pretty sure my store bought, non-organic apple is far healthier than your organic pizzas and burgers. She's trying to lose weight and insists that the organic version is somehow less calories or something. I'm like "No. Calories and fat are STILL THERE!"

It's so frustrating. I don't understand how people don't get this.
