This morning was very bittersweet for me. Dominic slept from 7:30pm last night to 7am this morning and didn't wake up! On one hand, it was awesome! We've been working towards this for a while but I was expecting it to take longer to get there. On the other hand, he needs me less now and that makes me a little sad. I think I blog in my head a lot. I am always thinking of things to post but by the time I have a moment to get to a computer I have forgotten what I wrote in my head. Softies
I made two softies for Dominic's Easter basket this year. A bean bag frog and a terry cloth bunny. It was my first time making any softies and they were fun.

April project of the month
I need to finish my rainbow block quilt so I'm making it my April Project of the Month. The top is almost completed put together. I estimate that it will take about 30 minutes to finish piecing the top. I also plan on adding a row of pieced pieces to the back of the quilt and then I'll quilt it with a loopy e and o design. Project of the Month
I've been sewing like crazy on my hexagon quilt this month. I have a total of 80 "diamonds" completed now (I"m not sure how many are new this month since I didn't count them before I started sewing). My quilt has grown by six rows. I'm thinking that I'm going to make it two rows wider than it currently is before I add on any borders. I will ( Read more... ) -

Stroller Strides
It seems rather strange to think that a year ago I joined Stroller Strides. It has been really fun and great to meet other Moms. And, I am 100% sure that I owe my great post-baby weight loss to this class (I'm one size smaller than I was before I had Dominic!).
