I grew up in Belgium, Brussels,.. I wish I was there with you to show you around a little. For how long will you be there?
Did you see the atomium? manekenpiss? grand-place? and all the usual attractions.. you should go to Bruge is you can, more to tne North.

LEt me know how you like the fries, the "gauffres" (waffels) ... my favorites with the chocolate "pralines".

i don't think i knew that you grew up here. you're so lucky! this is a great place. and the chocolate is to die for. i'm buying sooo much to take back with me. =D

haha. welllll. i don't do it on purpose. i seriously don't. i just always have so much to say. =D but even a one line comment would have taken me five minutes, so it just wasn't going to happen. but i finally went ahead and changed the keyboard settings to english. so now i just can't look at the keyboard or i screw up. and i can type again as quickly as i want! =D

funny that you mention that. i still had the belgium keyboard settings yesterday when i was writing this entry or else i would have written more. because that was exactly what was in my head. everything you said, i reciprocate those sentiments to a t. my favorite way to get into a city is to get myself lost and by the end of the day i've found my way again. i just always make a point of knowing where i am (i just drop my stuff off and head out, and after being at a new place for a mere ten minutes, one really can forget where that place is, lol) and then just walk in whatever direction seems most appealing. i did that yesterday for five hours and discovered a lot. i went online this morning to look at a ... travel guide of sorts and discovered that i'd already seen a lot of what they suggested seeing. and i did it on my own terms and without any navigation stress. and i know my way around the city now. you really do get to know the terrain that way
