*sighs* So there's Blaise Zabini. I've seen a lot of versions of him--and a lot of versions of her--but nothing quite like that. It's nice to see the Slytherins in their natural habitat again, and it was nice to see Malfoy acting a little smarter than usual. Crabbe reading a comic just made me grin.

Harry's conviction that Malfoy has the Dark Mark makes me almost completely sure that he doesn't. In one of my favorite parts from an Agatha Christie story, the detective Poirot tells his sidekick Hastings that, paraphrase, "I love having you around, because whatever theory you come up with, I can rule that out." That's basically my rule for whatever Ron and Harry say. And, you know, it remains that Draco's detour is done without the consent of his dark-witch mother.

Quick Fangirling

I hate Luna less in this chapter. I think she lives in Wrackspurt headquarters.

New wand for Neville, hooray! Is there anything special about it, being one of the last?

Here's McLaggen, and I like him.

Duly noted: Damocles Belby invented the Wolfsbane Potion and I very much suggest that either Marcus Belby or (less likely) his father is a werewolf.
