Big dog, indeed. In honor of Sirius or part of him that stayed with her? Harry's patronus is a big stag, no doubt due to his father. Normally I would say "Why Tonks and not Harry?", but Harry's patronus is already occupied by his father (his spirit? or maybe an odd coincidence? I don't think we'll ever know. I like to think it's a part of him that stayed behind.). Tonks is the one who needs comfort now.
