I expect Aberforth to play a named role in book 7, maybe even get a line!
We're mulling over this theory (or at least I am) that somebody has to take ownership of the Order. In interviews JKR hints that it will be someone little-mentioned but someone to whom we've already been introduced. A lot of people think Lupin will take over, but he doesn't fit this profile, does he. Who better than Aberforth? Maybe I'm crazy. Probably am.
Oh, and the coding error is in your link to HBP in Pictures, there's a missing end-quote in the href coding.
Good theory...personally, though, I'm rooting for Kingsley Shacklebolt. I don't know, maybe it's just that his name is so cool, I love the guy. Aberforth seems a little...unhinged?
How is the milliways bar going to react to new canon? Does it update and adapt, or carry on with its own continuum?

I have no idea. I can only speak for Bill, and... well, his whole relationship with Fleur was already so close to canon, there's not a lot we have to change. He's already gone through the mishap-with-enemies thing, both physically and emotionally, and though it wasn't exactly what happened in the book, the parallels are close enough so that I'm not certain we have to relive what happened at the end of HBP for him or for Fleur. It might even be redundant.
So... probably some will update and adapt, and others who are so firmly established in their AU-ness will just carry on that way.
Snape is definitely a good guy. I am probably more sure than ever after this book.
As for the magical races choosing sides... Well, isn't that speciesist? Who says they care about human wizards all that much? Who says humans affect them greatly one way or another? Think--during our so-called "World Wars" many countries were late getting into the game, and many weren't involved at all. There were many reasons for this: not being sure which side is in the right, fear of retribution from the victors OR losers, scarce resources making aid to others difficult... I mean, ok, some of the veela are obviously in the employ of the Quidditch teams, but who's to say they're not sending every ounce of magical resources they acquire back home to help Mum save Little Sister Veela from the Mimvitch Plastic Scurvy, a disease only recently introduced to thier community? I'd find it LESS believable if ALL the magical races actively chose sides.
