Of course, galactic tons of stuff have happened since I updated, so I am going to focus on
last night's Lost. Good points included the Charliecentrism, Driveshaft songs, and...hmm. That's all, really. Bad points included the dream sequences--although believe me, Hurley was born to wear ancient Hebrew robes--and the pointless Locke envy, Eko completely forgetting the details of his own faith (that pissed me off utterly. Fine, it's a secular TV show, you don't have to take sides--but if you're going to present any religion, get it right), Charlie going completely insane, and
I guess I also enjoyed the blackjack game and Eko marking trees "because he likes them." That line slew me. Also, it looks like Hurley is going to be the first person on this island to score--and darn it, I like that.
Of course, there's still the question of whether Libby is an Other. (A Nother?) You'd think they had checked the flight log by now, but I'd like to go back to the last episode of last season and see whether Hurley actually did step on somebody's foot, or if she's just bluffing.
I liked Locke better this episode; he was back in his old skin. Laying smackdown, that was nice.
I didn't see much of the end because it was so dark. Charlie took off his cross? Where'dya get that, Chaz? I don't remember it. It also occurred to me (okay, I am rambling now) that if he breaks a guitar string it is gonna be like the saddest thing ever.
Other events include a wonderful phone conversation with
scionofgrace, an awkward reunion with a high-school friend, job wangst (in two fun flavors!), Tuesday radio, the cooking of peanut-butter fudge (during which I burned myself three times), and darn it if my parents do not get off the Internet soon so that my phone call goes through, I am gonna go nuclear. >:(
