Our Chinese contingent is visiting the office, and (as all of us tend to do) they brought food. Yesterday the foreign offering was a box of really interesting "fried dough twists", which are pretty much what they sound like, except the twists were fairly small--so that the whole thing looked like a six-inch-long, inch-thick Twizzler. Loose tea is good, except it's horrible to try to clean up. Especially if you make it like my roommate does and don't use any tea balls, or other devices to make the clean-up easier.

And talking about this has given me a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach because I don't know if he emptied out the tea pot last time he made tea (which would have been over a week ago now) so I'm afraid of what's growing in my tea pot...

I really didn't mean to make this all about me, either. The original reply was going to be something along the lines of "Free Food! Yummy!"

I haven't had loose-leaf tea yet but I have had gunpowder green tea, apparently. It was in a tea bag but it was quite good. My Capstone advisor offered me some tea at our first meeting and she got to explain the gunpowder part.
