So what does one do when one has off work for the first day of the year?

One signs up for LibraryThing, of course.

Things I've learned since yesterday:
  • LibraryThing is awesome.
  • I have a lot of weird books that nobody else does.
  • I have books all over the place.
  • It's a little bit difficult to pull apart and reassemble every stack of books in your ( Read more... )

ERAGON WAS A CHRISTMAS GIFT, DON'T JUDGE ME

I borrowed it from my sister, and didn't get past the first ten pages; then my parents went and bought it for me. Now I have to read it.

    Oh...consider yourself judged.

My wife informs me that the publisher that published the kid's book was his parents company. I guess I could still give him props for it...I guess.

Eragon is such a boring title, its name so shamelessly stolen from the Spanish territory of Aragon, that I have no interest in the book.

I signed on to LibraryThing, too, this week. But I have something like 10,000 SF/F books. There's no way I'll be able to list them all. It'd be marginally possible if they didn't give you so many choices--is it the 1984 paperback or the 1988 re-issued paperback? How should I know? Argh! I agree that it's fun. If my life were a little less full up right now, maybe . . .

(I have Eragon and Eldest, and I've read them both.)
