I just signed up for the Food Stamp Challenge for hunger awareness week. Participants eat for a week on the maximum budget of food stamps for their household size, which in my case is $38.75; no pre-existing food is permitted. (Although I might use some of that but take out its cost from the budget.) I'm getting in a little late, but I'm excited to

Just a note... If you want a more... challenging... food challenge, you should eat on my food budget: $95/month. And it's not unusual for me to be cooking for two people, either. True, occassionally I go over. But, I've had months where I've spent $65 on groceries. It's actually not that hard, once you make a point of eliminating everything that isn't Aldi store brand, and then decide to not buy many snacks.
