My Only Pre-HP Post

Okay folks, this is going to be my only Harry Potter post before Deathly Hallows comes out.

I've been kicking around this idea for a while, and finally think I know how to do it and still keep spoiler-free. Therefore: I hereby declare this post to be the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Hall of Prophecy. Post in the comments your predictions ( Read more... )

2.) Harry and Ron confirm their secret 4-year love affair. This, of course, drives Hermione into a tizzy and she joins sides with Voldemort. Since she was really the only learned one of the three, Ron and Harry are left practically defenseless. The ending battle is a cat-and-mouse hunt throughout Hogwart's. Hermione eventually corners the two, but is betrayed by Voldemort and killed herself. In the shuffle, Hagrid slips in with a cursed unicorn horn and slays Voldemort. The ending is mal-dramatized with Harry and Ron escaping quietly through the forest toward a life full of solitude and fear ( ... )

Who will become the new Headmaster of Hogwarts? I can't remember if they addressed this in the last book. I think Minerva's the only currently existing character who would do it, given that Head Girl Hermione is too young.

Harry lives. Ron and Hermione live. At least one Weasley dies. Snape dies but is redeemed in the process, or at least manages to save Draco. Dumbledore stays dead.

I'm less certain of these: One of the Weasley twins goes out spectacularly. Ginny does not let Harry go off and mope in a corner or save the world without her. Hogwarts stays open (or re-opens) and Harry ends up as DADA teacher.

I see much death, but few faces clearly.

Fred and George Weasley, going out together in a recklessly Gryffindor blaze of glory.

Is that Snape? And Pettigrew? It's too dark to tell....

That is certainly Snape, with Fawkes on his shoulder.

A fight--it isn't Voldemort and Harry, but Fenrir Greyback and...that's not Lupin. It's Fleur Delacour who kills Greyback!

I can't see at all what happens to the Trio, which is making me very afraid for Ron.

Lessee... 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 9 are more or less right...

Seven out of eleven! Not bad. Still kinda wish there'd been a spontaneous Quidditch match.
