Also, good kids NF books leave out the boring parts. Kids won't read 'em, and we don't want them in our books anyway. ;)

I totally agree; kids books are a great place to start research. I always start there and work my way up. And thanks for the book mention, too! As it happens, I do need to learn a few things about China right now.
