If coming home from Sweeney Todd with a craving for meat pies is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

Betty Crocker fails me, though. Any recipes welcome.

ETA: I'm going to give this a whirl, except in custard dishes and with a normal shortening crust. I'll report on the results! *goes off whistling to chop up hunk o' meat*

i've never made a meat pie. i like the idea, but the execution skeers me!

The Food Network site has some but I haven't tried any of them.

Hmm, I've had real British meat pies, and this actually looks more tasty. Mine was kind of akin to Spam, some kind of chopped salted meat encased with a bit of its gelatin in a crust.
