Hrm. Roger Ebert said it was one of his favorite comic-book movies. I may have to take a look-see.

When it's not being awesome, it's being awesomely ridiculous!

No! I was fourteen when it came out, way before I had any say in what I got to watch in theaters.

I saw that in the theater when it came out in '94, and it stands for me as one of those rare moviegoing experiences (along with the first "Terminator" and "Matrix" flicks) where I went in expecting to like it and ended up liking it even more than I'd anticipated. It immediately became one of my favorite revenge movies, along with "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" ... and that right there should speak volumes as to how warped my cinematic sensibilities are.

Glad you've discovered a new favorite, Amber. May you enjoy it many more times in the years ahead!

It ended, and I was just like "I HAVE TO OWN THIS."

Plus: Ernie Hudson makes anything good.

YES. It's like, it's like, Dark Knight except there's no Batman, the Joker is a zombie and the good guy, and Gordon is played by Winston the Ghostbuster!

It's funny you say that. Late last year, when I was trolling the web for advance photos from "Dark Knight" and came across some showing Heath Ledger in his Joker makeup and hair, I thought to myself, "Gee, he actually looks more like the Crow than any version of the Joker I've ever seen. This should prove interesting."

And it was!

Seriously. Anyone who tries to say that Dark Knight wasn't influenced by The Crow is lying.

I came across it by accident, even.

(Loved the for-TV dubbing. "You're so fouled up, man!")

Best TV dub ever was Mallrats. They couldn't even find someone who sounded relatively like Jason Mewes...
