From scottish_like, a new entry in Our Terrifying Future: octopi are now using tools. More alarmingly: they are specifically capable of manipulating coconut shells, which allows them to access a dizzying array of human technology. What I'm saying is, we need to get the dolphins back on our side now.

You crack me up. I couldn't believe I hadn't friended you in that journal before, but then I curse and gnash a lot there, so sometimes it's an unpleasnt place. Welcome, nonetheless!

Cephalopods are awesome. If you're still in Pittsburgh (I didn't see/hear hide nor hair of you with NaNo this year) you should check out the cuttlefish at the PPG Aquarium. I saw them during their lunchtime once, and watching them eat is amazing. So cute.

I moved to the middle of the state, changed NaNo names, and went to THEIR meetups. :P I was extremely sad to leave Pittsburgh, they always have the best TGIO parties.

Oh, I read about that today! I liked the marine biologist who said that watching the octopus scuttle off with its stack of shells made him laugh harder than he'd ever done underwater. There should be video.

I like the little peek-a-book octopus photograph myself. :) I would totally watch that video. :)
