Without fail, the worst weird news I run across are incidents of people being terrible to each other. This isn't the worst but my gosh, is it close.

However, I do take issue with the charge of 1st degree murder. I mean, it was the guy's own choice to do the 'shrooms, and even if he wasn't in control at the time of the murder, he's still ultimately responsible for taking a life, just as a drunk driver would be, so any attempts by his lawyer to get him off on those grounds would be pure BS. But how could he be capable of premeditated murder if the mushrooms had made him so psychotic that he thought his friend was the devil and/or possessed, and that the organs needed to be burned? Manslaughter, maybe, or murder in the 2nd at most, but definitely not 1st degree.
