Former President Gerald Ford has died. I knew he'd been ill, but didn't realize how serious it was.

I met him once, while touring the Ford Presidential Library (Museum?) in Grand Rapids some time ago.

Neat that you met him. I haven't even been to that museum. No excuse. I should go next summer. :)

*slight blush* I visited friends who lived there, and the first time they had to DRAG me to the museum. It was fascinating, and I was embarrassed at the fuss I put up to avoid it. My second trip I suggested they leave me there for the afternoon when they had to run some errands without me. I was in the theater area when Ford and his Secret Service detail came it. It was really special.

I think you'd enjoy it there, too. It was fascinating, although I admit to being something of a history geek.
