I went to Edinbugh, Scotland over the weekend. It was really fun, but I am so exhausted right now so I will make this short. I went to the top of Scott's monument, through the castle, and on a historical tour of the city underground. I also did a lot of shopping and now have almost everyone's christmas presents done. Well...the study abroad experience is starting to calm down. Classes are starting and routines are starting to emerge. I am having so much fun abroad. I think it's really changing me. I have way more friends here than I did in the states. I walk across campus and people actually know my name and say hi to me. I like it. I have booked travel plans with some American friends for Dublin, Edinburgh, and London. These are my three big trips. I can't wait to go to ( Read more... )

I went to Liverpool today for a guided tour done by the international office here. It was awesome. The architecture there is amazing and there are free museums, which is a plus. Today I get to meet all of my professors. They need to identify with us as international students or something. I only have one class that I actually wanted, but I think I may be able to squeeze my way into a psychology type class that is upper level. The Office of Financial Aid can kiss my ass. I have been in conflict with them for about 3 months now. They have made my life a living hell. They can't figure out that study abroad students need more money in the semester in which they will be abroad. They constantly and purposely try to put blame on me every time I talk to them.
